The role requires someone to ensure on a day-to-day basis the ICT requirements of the company are efficiently and effectively met and all ICT systems are fully functional at all times.ResponsibilitiesMain responsibilitiesSupports the security of the Company’s network and ICT resourcesDelivers robust, efficient and professional operational IT service to key stakeholdersMaintains documentation of systems, maps, procedures, user and technical informationSupport the network equipment and services, Virtual servers, network storage devices, network communications equipmentDay to day support of LANs, WANs, internet, security and wireless implementationsMonitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of infrastructure service delivery methods and proceduresMonitors business critical processes and systemsInstalls, configures and supports new and existing servers and network infrastructureActively learns and develops to stay up to date with developments in areas of expertise and to meet the changing needs of the jobEncourages and supports the development of other members of your team and the organisationEnsures compliance with the companies policies, procedures and contract of employmentUndertakes any other duties that may reasonably be required, and are commensurate with the grade of the job, in furtherance of the objectives of the FundDeputise for the infrastructure ManagerSkills/ExperienceQUALIFICATIONSSpecialist in Windows server infrastructure operational support, including administration of on-premises and cloud platformsExcellent troubleshooting & diagnostic skills, including the ability to work well under pressure and follow investigations through to logical conclusionsKnowledge of Microsoft best practices for security configurations (policies), migration, and VMware VM managementManagement of infrastructure projectsExperience of working with security, networking, server, software application management and supportA good understanding of managing a Microsoft Active Directory-based network with common Microsoft server components; Exchange Server Hybrid, SQL Server, Windows Deployment Systems, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Cloud based Telephony, Cyber Security and Prevention, Cloud based Backup and RestoreKnowledge of VMWare High-Availability virtual server hosting infrastructure and storage area networksMicrosoft Azure including:Azure Active DirectorySSOMulti-Factor AuthenticationKnowledge cyber security best practices.Best practicesDocumentationUser EducationAuditingIT and Email SecurityChange management - adhering to correct procedures to ensure that any changes are carried out successfullyProblem management & incident management - liaising with relevant parties to achieve an acceptable resolutionAbout YouGood interpersonal skills which are required when liaising with business usersAn ability to remain composed when working in difficult situations, and to be proactive in leading the team toward resolutionsThe position will involve dealing with all levels of Management so therefore good verbal and written communication skills are essentialTakes pride in providing excellent customer serviceAbility to absorb and retain information quicklyAbility to present ideas in user-friendly languageExperience of working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentWorking Conditions: Normal working conditions with the absence of disagreeable elements.Note: The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees, and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified.Newmark is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
