We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior .Net Engineer to join a leading software development company on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of innovative software solutions within a dynamic and agile team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in .Net development, with hands-on experience in the latest technologies and frameworks. You will be working across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to architecture decisions, coding standards, and quality assurance practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software using C# and .NET (Core)
• Contribute to the architecture and development of scalable web applications and APIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, QA engineers, and DevOps
• Participate in code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and driving best practices
• Ensure software solutions meet both technical and business requirements
• Deliver clean, maintainable, testable, and reusable code

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior .Net Developer or Engineer
• Expertise in .NET Core and C# development
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Experience with SQL Server and Entity Framework
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure is highly desirable
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git
• Ability to write clear technical documentation
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Pay range and compensation package

Length: 6-month initial contract

Hybrid: 2 days per week onsite in London, UK
