A bit about the role:
An opportunity to join a growing business and take responsibility for managing our Microsoft Azure environment, including virtual systems and networking, alongside our Intune and SCCM infrastructure. As a DevOps Specialist, you’ll work closely with a cross-functional team to deliver innovative solutions and ensure high performance and availability across both shore-based and shipboard operations.
Success in this role relies on your ability to implement and manage Infrastructure as Code, automate and streamline deployment processes, and continuously optimise systems that support teams on land and at sea. This is a primarily hybrid and shore-based role, though occasional travel to ships may be required for tasks that cannot be completed remotely. You’ll also take part in a shared on-call rotation, supporting global operations across multiple time zones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate and streamline deployment processes.
- Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Manage and maintain Intune and SCCM to deliver effective endpoint management.
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build, deployment, and infrastructure.
- Ensure systems are patched in accordance with agreed maintenance windows.
- Ensure security best practices are followed in all DevOps processes and mitigate any vulnerabilities.
- Continuously improve and optimize DevOps practices and tools.
- Provide support and guidance to development teams on DevOps best practices.

Must have:
- Azure, Azure AD and Azure administrator
- Terraform
- GitHub
Nice to have:
- Azure AZ Certification (in the path of AZ-400)
- DNS
- Webservers - Azure WebApp, Apache TomCat, NGINX, IIS
- Automation tools
- Citrix certified administration - Xenapp
- Scripting - Powershell, Perl script, SQL
- Microsoft Intune and SCCM
- NetData Monitoring
- ITIL Foundation V4 /ComTIAA+ or comparable certification/training desirable
- IT relevant degree educated or equivalentexperience managing enterprise cloud environments
