Core Solution Architect

We are looking for an experienced Core Solution Architect to lead the design and end-to-end delivery of complex core network solutions. This role demands in-depth expertise in Packet Core, Circuit Core, VAS, and Signaling, and a proven ability to drive large-scale projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams and external vendors. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring architectural integrity and successful solution implementation in line with business and technical objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and design end-to-end solutions for core network domains, including Packet Core (EPC/5GC), Circuit Core (MSC/MGW), VAS (SMSC, USSD, MMSC), and Signaling platforms (SS7, Diameter, SIP).
- Lead the development of high-level and low-level designs aligned with business requirements and technology strategy.
- Work closely with delivery teams to ensure seamless implementation of solutions across all project phases.
- Collaborate with external vendors for solution design, integration, customization, and support.
- Manage solution delivery in complex, multi-vendor, and multi-technology environments.
- Translate evolving business requirements into scalable, resilient, and secure network designs.
- Drive technical governance and maintain architecture standards across network programs.
- Perform impact assessments, risk analysis, and define mitigation strategies for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Support network transformation, modernization, and migration initiatives, including 2G/3G sunset and 5G deployment.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in telecom solution architecture, with a focus on core network domains.
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Packet Core: EPC, MME, SGW, PGW, UPF, SMF, AMF.
- Signaling: SS7, Diameter, SIP, STP, DRA.
- Proven experience managing complex project deliveries and multi-vendor integration.
- Strong understanding of 3GPP standards, IMS, NFV/SDN, and telco cloud principles.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with 5G SA/NSA deployments and cloud-native architectures.
- Exposure to orchestration and automation platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenStack).
- Certifications such as TOGAF, PMP, or vendor-specific credentials (e.g., Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei) are a plus.
