WLP Recruitment is hiring on behalf of a growing enterprise client for a talented Cyber Security Engineer to help strengthen and evolve their cyber defence capabilities. This is a hands-on technical role focused on protecting infrastructure, systems, and data across a complex IT estate.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor, detect, and respond to security threats and incidents

Manage and maintain security tools (e.g. SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners)

Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support

Implement and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, and endpoint protection solutions

Support risk assessments, security audits, and compliance efforts (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)

Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and cloud teams to ensure secure system architecture

Contribute to incident response planning and threat intelligence activities

Required Skills & Experience:

3+ years in a cyber security engineering or analyst role

Strong technical background in infrastructure, networks, and cloud security (Azure/AWS)

Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g. Splunk, Sentinel), EDR tools, and firewalls

Understanding of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, etc.)

Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell, Python) is a plus

Security certifications preferred (e.g. CompTIA Security+, SSCP, CEH, CISSP)
