Your Future Role at QRT:
As an End User Computing Engineer you will join QRT's Global Infrastructure Team, responsible for the design, management, and support of Windows desktop environments and collaboration technologies. You will play a key role in delivering seamless end-user experiences across virtual machines, desktops, Microsoft 365, Teams, Surface Hubs, and AV solutions, enabling core business functions such as research, trading, and data processing.
- Configure and support Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktop environments, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.
- Manage and maintain the EUC technology ecosystem.
- Configure and support automated Windows 11 builds, including integration with Autopilot, Intune, policy management, and scripting frameworks.
- Support and administer Microsoft Teams, including Teams Rooms, chat, meetings, and calling functionalities.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and optimize configurations.
- Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for device policies, software deployment, and compliance.
- Deploy and support Surface Hubs, integrating them with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Support Citrix DaaS and VMware ESXi platforms for VDI deployments.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and Entra ID to enforce security and configuration policies.
- Provide 2nd- and 3rd-line support for Windows desktop-related incidents and collaborate with IT teams on escalations.
- Troubleshoot and maintain Teams Rooms systems (Crestron, Poly, Logitech, Yealink) for high-quality virtual meetings.
- Support and maintain AV solutions, including video walls, digital signage, and interactive kiosks across office and meeting spaces.
- Manage software updates, security patches, and compliance via Intune and other patching platforms.
- Implement and monitor endpoint security using Microsoft Defender, BitLocker, and Intune compliance policies.
- Troubleshoot networking, printing, and application issues affecting end-user devices.
- Oversee the hardware lifecycle, ensuring efficient deployment, upgrade, and decommissioning of devices.
- Collaborate with external vendors for procurement, installation, and maintenance of communication and AV hardware.
- Research, evaluate, and implement new desktop technologies to enhance productivity, security, and operational efficiency.
- Deliver training sessions and workshops on Microsoft Teams, Surface Hubs, AV equipment, and Microsoft 365 applications
- Extensive experience in End User Computing environments.
- Proven expertise in managing Windows 10 and Windows 11 within corporate environments.
- Advanced skills in Windows build processes, including Zero Touch deployments, Autopilot integrations, and standard imaging with MECM/SCCM.
- Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Intune and Entra ID.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and desktop configuration management.
- Good knowledge of Citrix DaaS and/or other VDI solutions.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 and Teams administration, troubleshooting, and configuration.
- Experience with Slack, Zoom Meetings, and Zoom Events.
- Hands-on experience with Teams Rooms, Surface Hubs, and conferencing solutions (Crestron, Poly, Logitech, Yealink).
- Proficiency in Windows Update and patch management processes, including security hardening.
- Familiarity with endpoint security platforms such as Microsoft Defender and device monitoring tools.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities across hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.
- Experience with software deployment and IT asset management processes.
