Information Technology Project Manager

Location: Bahrain

12 month rolling contract

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful delivery of technology projects within the banking sector. The role involves managing end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and delivering within scope, time, and budget while managing risks and stakeholders effectively.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
• 5–7+ years of experience managing IT projects in the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of banking applications, core banking systems, and digital channels.
• Skilled in project planning, resource management, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication.
• Proficient with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (Jira, MS Project).
• Strong understanding of compliance, information security, and regulatory requirements in banking.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification highly advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects within the bank.
• Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocations, ensuring successful project execution.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain regular communication and status reporting with stakeholders and senior management.
• Ensure projects adhere to bank policies, security standards, and compliance requirements.
• Guide project teams in following best practices, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Support testing, deployment, and post-implementation review of IT projects.
• Maintain project documentation and contribute to continuous process improvement.
