ARB-Registered Architect – Planning Specialist

An opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated ARB-registered Architect to join a busy and fast-paced architectural team. This role is ideal for someone with strong planning experience who is ready to take ownership of the planning process across a range of residential and commercial projects.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering consistently high-quality work, even while managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the preparation and submission of planning applications
2. Liaise with clients and planning authorities confidently and professionally
3. Provide guidance to internal drafting teams, ensuring design intent is met
4. Work collaboratively across the early stages of the design process
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of planning policy and RIBA Stages 0–4

Requirements:

• ARB-registered Architect
• Proven experience with planning applications and approvals
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Strong time management and organisational abilities
• Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with RIBA Stages 0–3 (essential); working knowledge of Stages 3–4
