Senior Traffic & Car Park Manager - East London - 6m FTC - up to £50k + bonus & great bens

We are looking for a Traffic and Car Park Manager, with proven experience in traffic, transport and/or parking management, to join a fantastic company in East London on a 6 month FTC.

With strong leadership and people management skills, excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations relating to traffic and parking operations and experience using traffic and parking management software (including ANPR and logistics scheduling systems), you will excel in this strategic role which involves both office-based planning and on-site operational management.

We’re keen to find someone who will be able to hit the ground running in this hands-on contract role, so the ability to effectively line manage a team, take responsibility for monthly forecasting and management of costs and revenues, and can project manage upcoming projects with ease is required.

Key responsibilities as the Senior Traffic & Car Park Manager will include:

• Leading the daily operations of the traffic and car park of an exceptionally busy centre
• Managing a busy team, ensuring efficient workforce planning, scheduling and deployment
• Managing the traffic and parking budget and contributing to forecasting and planning for future infrastructure investments
• Overseeing the smooth operation traffic management including vehicle access, lorry ways, car parks, taxi ranks and coach operators
• Overseeing traffic flow, parking allocation and access control
• Collaborating with internal and external team to tailor traffic and parking plans as required
• Ensuring the effective use of logistics software for vehicle scheduling and ANPR systems
• Developing and implementing strategies to optimise traffic flow and reduce congestion
• Ensuring all traffic and parking operations adhere to procedures, regulations, protocols and policies
• Working closely with emergency services, transport authorities and security teams when required
• Monitoring and reporting on operational effectiveness and recommending improvements

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in a similar traffic, transport or parking management role is essential
• Experience gained in a large organisation / venue / site is highly advantageous
• Strong leadership and management skills with a focus on operational efficiency and cost control
• Experience managing relevant budgets and forecasting/planning is sought
• Ability to project manage upcoming traffic / parking projects with ease
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations relating to traffic and parking operations
• Experience using traffic and parking management software including ANPR and logistics scheduling systems
• Proactive problem solver with a strategic and logical mindset
• IT literate
• Available imminently and able to commit to a 6 month FTC
