Technology Consultant - Energy & Utilities
Location: London (with ad hoc travel to client sites across the UK)
Salary: Up to £65,000 DOE

We are seeking an experienced Technology Consultant to work with major UK Energy and Utilities clients, supporting large-scale technology and business transformation projects. You will help implement solutions that improve operational efficiency, optimize processes, and drive innovation across energy and utility businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively on technology projects, from strategy through to implementation, ensuring solutions meet client needs.
  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions aligned with client objectives.
  • Support end-to-end business transformation programs, including ERP, CRM, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Provide expert advice and practical solutions to challenges in the Energy & Utilities sector.
  • Facilitate workshops, engage with stakeholders, and manage communications with internal teams and clients.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring delivery quality.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform client solutions.
  • Apply Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate to project delivery.
Required Experience & Skills:
  • 3-5 years' experience delivering technology projects within the Energy or Utilities sector.
  • Experience in business analysis, solution implementation, and project delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Knowledge of risk, assumption, issue, and dependency management within projects.
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel to client sites across the UK on an ad hoc basis.
Desirable:
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) or SaaS solutions (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Professional certifications in Cloud, Energy, or Programme Management.
  • Strong technical and emotional intelligence for managing teams and client relationships.
