NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Enterprise Architect to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first and to deliver against our strategic objectives.

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Enterprise Architect who will be responsible for focusing on business issues and driving strategic improvements across our organisation. You will play a pivotal role in aligning our organisational strategies with business objectives. Your primary focus will be on identifying and addressing business challenges, optimising processes, and ensuring that our organisation is efficient, resilient, and adaptable to changing demands. The Enterprise Architect will define and lead the architecture at an enterprise level and will be responsible for forming a joined-up view on the overarching enterprise architecture roadmap. They will work closely with the Domain Architects.

Every day you will …

  1. Be responsible for the effective delivery of your projects, working closely with the business owner. You will work with senior leaders and functional teams to ensure that the project objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints.
  2. Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, principles and roadmaps aligned with business strategy.
  3. Work in collaboration with the service providers across NHS Supply Chain to ensure effective management and execution of your projects to deliver against elements of NHS Supply Chain’s strategic objectives.
  4. Lead and manage enterprise-wide projects with budgets of up to £1m using agile and waterfall methodologies.
  5. Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective working relationships for projects and to ensure that stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met.
  6. Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating matters where appropriate. Where necessary, develop, agree on, and implement solutions to overcome these concerns.
